Uran Apak is Turkish/British voice explorer, composer, producer and improviser.
His music has been described as Turkish folk infused psychedelic electro pop. Uran performs live with voice, loop station, electronics and creates songs on the spot with audience participation.
He is inspired by the voice led electronica of Bjork, organic house, improvisational methods of Bobby McFerrin, live looping genius of Marc Rebillet and the rich heritage of Turkish music, past and present.
Uran recently released two new singles on the London based boutique label Escape Everything Records. Summer 2022 saw him doing independent gigs in Portugal and Lithuania and he is currently gigging regularly as part of the London queer and electronic music scenes.

QUOTES
“In an unusual turn with indie music videos – the attitude in the song actually matches the one in the visual. Reminiscent of The Knife’s Pass This On music video, Out of Nothing blasts the dust off of the gym setting in a classy neon strut. Quite perfect in every way a music video can be!”
The Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards / Winner: Best Music Video Spring 2020
"A hugely successful performance. I have received a lot of great feedback from the public who was amazed at the quality of your talent shown at QUEER VOICES 1st edition. I’m sure you could feel on the night how involved the audience got! So unique and thought provoking… Plus nobody could stand still hearing your beat."
